Merida's passion is the creation of distinctive woven textile floor covering grounded in innovative and sustainable design. The Brazilian cooperative farming community where these rugs are made is a model of sustainability. Through strategic management of production, conservation of natural resources, and community organizing, the co-op has helped to increase sisal production, preserve the eco system, advance the technical capabilities of farmers and weavers, and provide educational opportunities for members of the community. We are proud to support this organization by offering unique sisal rugs made with the quality and design that Merida is known for.
